About the Role
The Maintenance & Cleaning Supervisor plays an important role in ensuring UQU’s facilities are maintained to a high standard and operate smoothly day-to-day.
This role combines team leadership, coordination and hands-on involvement, supervising a small team responsible for cleaning, minor maintenance coordination and the general upkeep of Union facilities across campus.
You will take pride in ensuring our spaces are clean, safe, organised and well presented, while supporting your team to deliver reliable, consistent service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the maintenance and cleaning team
• Ensure facilities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and presentation
• Coordinate maintenance works with UQ Facilities and external contractors and trades
• Develop and manage planned maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance programs
• Maintain accurate asset registers and maintenance records for facilities and equipment
• Monitor contractor works to ensure jobs are completed safely and to the required standard
• Support safe work practices and WHS compliance
• Work collaboratively with other operational teams across the Union
• Take a proactive and practical approach to identifying and resolving issues
