About The Role 

We are looking for Bartenders to join our fun and energetic team at UQU. The roles will work under the direction of the supervisor to skillfully prepare and serve beverages to a high quality standard in a timely manner. 

The role also involves: 

• Adding value and generating sales through up selling of food and beverage items; 

• General bar duties, including cleaning of service areas and equipment; 

• Stock rotation and control; and 

• Working with a fun and collaborative team. 

As the Barista & Bistro Attendant, you'll: 

You will have a genuine passion for creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere, serving high-quality food and drinks. You are personable and have demonstrated time management skills. Your strong knowledge of WHS practices ensures your standards of food hygiene and safety are impeccable. You have excellent interpersonal & communication skills and thrive on customer satisfaction.  You will have the enthusiasm to build on our reputation as the go-to place for a drink and great food on campus. 

In additional you will possess the following: 

• Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Bartender; 

• Current RSA certificate 

• Ability to work well under pressure with a positive attitude in a fast-paced and high-demanding environment and; 

• Strong knowledge and experience in Food and Work Health Safety. 

Supervisory experience would be highly regarded. Supervisor positions are available at a higher hourly rate, with additional leadership responsibilities.
