About The Role  

We are looking for a truly exceptional Barista Allrounder to join our fun and energetic team at Banyo Cafe & Bar. This role would be ideal for an ACU student looking for a casual role who can work around 20 hours per week.  

Key responsibilities include: 

• Adding value and generating sales through up-selling of food and beverage items;  

• Skillfully making coffee and beverages to a high-quality standard; 

• Providing excellent customer service; 

• General café duties, including cleaning of service areas and equipment;  

• Food preparation (e.g. heating and preparing food items); 

• Stock rotation, control, and assisting with stocktakes; 

• Maintaining exceptional presentation and cleanliness standards across service areas; and 

• Following standards and best practices regarding Food Safety and WHS to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. 

Required Skills & Experience  

• Minimum of 1 year coffee barista experience;  

• Ability to create exceptional coffee and work with specialty coffee and latte art;  

• Solid working knowledge of dialing in, yield, dose, texturing, machine cleaning and maintenance;  

• Ability to work well under pressure with a positive attitude in a fast paced and high demanding environment;  

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and;  

• Strong knowledge and experience in Food and Work Health Safety.
