About The Role  

We are looking for a truly exceptional Barista Allrounders who have a genuine passion for creating and serving high-quality coffee to join our fun and energetic teams at UQU On A Roll Bakery and Darwin's! As this is an allrounder role, you will be trained across the board – from taking customers' orders and processing them through our POS system, to assisting with kitchen duties, general cleaning, opening and closing, and of course – making coffees! 

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Delivering friendly and efficient customer service to the UQ community; 

• Preparing food and beverages to a high-quality standard and in a timely manner, while providing exceptional customer service;  

• Stock rotation, control, and assisting with stocktakes; 

• Maintaining exceptional presentation and cleanliness standards across service areas;  

• Following standards and best practices regarding Food Safety and WHS to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment; and 

• Clearing tables and maintaining a clean and tidy dining area (Darwin’s). 

Required skills & Experience:  

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced, high-volume café environment; 

• Ability to work well under pressure with a positive attitude in a fast-paced and high-demanding environment and;  

• Strong knowledge and experience in Food and Work Health Safety.
