About The Role  

We are looking for a truly exceptional Barista Allrounder who has a genuine passion for creating and serving high-quality coffee to join our fun and energetic team at UQU Expresso! This role offers approximately 25 hours per week. As an allrounder, you will be trained across the board—from taking customers' orders and processing them through our POS system to assisting with kitchen duties, general cleaning, opening and closing, and, of course, making coffees!

Key Responsibilities include: 

• Delivering friendly and efficient customer service to the UQ community; 

• Preparing beverages to a high-quality standard and in a timely manner, while providing exceptional customer service;  

• Stock rotation, control, and assisting with stocktakes; 

• Maintaining exceptional presentation and cleanliness standards across service areas; and 

• Following standards and best practices regarding Food Safety and WHS to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. 

Required skills & Experience:  

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced, high-volume café environment; 

• Solid working knowledge of dialing in, yield, dose, texturing, machine cleaning and maintenance;  

• Ability to work well under pressure with a positive attitude in a fast paced and high demanding environment and;  

• Strong knowledge and experience in Food and Work Health Safety.
