About The Role  

We are looking for Bartenders/ Bistro attendants to join our fun and energetic team at UQU’s REDROOM. This role would be ideal for a UQ student looking for work between uni commitments who is passionate about contributing to a lively and welcoming atmosphere, delivering fantastic customer service and serving high-quality drinks! 

Key responsibilities include: 

• Skillfully preparing and serving beverages to a high-quality standard in a timely manner; 

• Adding value and generating sales through up-selling of food and beverage items;  

• General bar and bistro duties, including cleaning of service areas and equipment;  

• Stock rotation, control, and assisting with stocktakes; 

• Maintaining exceptional presentation and cleanliness standards across service areas; and 

• Following standards and best practices regarding Food Safety and WHS to maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. 

Required Skills & Experience 

• Minimum of 1 year's experience as a Bartender;  

• Current RSA certificate  

• Ability to work well under pressure with a positive attitude in a fast-paced and high-demanding environment;  

• Customer service, including Cash handling / POS experience, and 

• Strong knowledge and experience in Food and Work Health Safety.
