Job Description

About the Role 

We're looking for reliable and safety-conscious Delivery & Collection Drivers to support the day-to-day operations of UQU's Community Programs. This role plays an important part in ensuring products and resources are delivered safely, efficiently and on time to support our community initiatives across multiple locations. 

Working both independently and as part of a team, you'll be responsible for transporting goods, maintaining accurate records and providing general operational support to help keep our programs running smoothly. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Delivering products to Herston, Dutton Park and occasionally Gatton. 

  • Collecting products from multiple locations across Brisbane. 

  • Safely loading, transporting and unloading goods in accordance with food safety and workplace health and safety requirements. 

  • Completing delivery documentation and maintaining accurate records. 

  • Maintaining UQU vehicles in a clean, safe and roadworthy condition. 

  • Assisting with stock handling, organisation and distribution within the Community Program. 

  • Providing support to the Co-Op Shop and other Community initiatives as required. 

  • Representing UQU professionally when interacting with community partners, suppliers and stakeholders. 

This is a casual position with hours worked according to operational requirements. Some early morning, evening or occasional weekend work may be required. 

About You 

You're dependable, organised and enjoy working independently while contributing to a supportive team environment. You take pride in delivering excellent service, work safely and understand the importance of reliability when supporting operational activities. 

To be successful in this role, you'll have: 

  • A current, unrestricted Australian Driver Licence. 

  • A safe driving record. 

  • The ability to safely undertake manual handling and lifting tasks. 

  • Strong communication and organisational skills. 

  • Excellent time management and attention to detail. 

  • A commitment to workplace health and safety and safe work practices. 

  • A positive, professional and customer-focused approach. 

  • A satisfactory National Police Check (or the ability to obtain one).
